DESCRIPTION
Nobody Else is a vinyl redesign of the 2017 album by the artist Idealism. To capture the soothing nostalgic atmosphere of this EP's use of piano and the white noise of a rainy cityscape, it was designed in a cosmic sepia-toned aesthetic. This vinyl design is paired with bullet journal collateral and pins made Idealism's student demographic who often engage with his music via lo-fi playlists for late night study sessions.
PROCESS
Made during my time at university, this project captures a facet of undergrad life. The lo-fi playlist phenomenon that is a staple in any student’s late night study session. Countless hours listening to meditatively chill beats while cramming and letting shuffle introduce me to dozen of lo-fi artists. Instrumental melodies that transport you to a relaxed state, and dreamy ambient noise. I wanted to transform this feeling into a visual product that would invite studious night owls to explore this album, curious about the cosmic imagery.
